Almost 770 years-old, the hotel on the Fuorn Pass connecting Graubünden and South Tyrol has seen its fair share of history and stories.
Thanks to the newly established Chasa Chalavaina foundation and the operating company Hotel Chasa Chalavaina AG, it has a solid future ahead of it. In 2021, the 80-year-old former owner and host Jon Baptista Fasser was looking for a successor after more than 50 years.
The Swiss pine dining room shines in all its former splendour. The tables and chairs in the restaurant are the same as before; the ‘black kitchen’ is also unchanged and seats eight guests.
In the gothic public room with a view of the old gnarled apple tree you can read in peace or simply relax and unwind.
The spacious garden behind the house is enchanting with its summer flora, a tranquil place for those seeking peace and quiet.
