Convent trail for kids

Great discoveries at the Convent of St John: a fun tour for anyone who enjoys seeking and finding. Babette the convent cat takes you on an exciting discovery tour. Kids follow Babette to twelve stations across the monastery courtyard, into the church and the museum, with many exciting and creative tasks waiting to be solved. They’re invited to seek, draw and invent. Whoever guesses the solution correctly will find a treasure chest full of riches at the convent shop.

The children's trail with drawings by Sister Pia Willi is included in admission to the museum and is available on request from the convent shop. It is geared to families with children aged between 6 and 13 and is available all year round in German and Italian.

Colouring pictures to print out

With its frescoes and sculptures, the Convent of St John at Müstairis a real treasure trove of motifs. Children can colour in motifs such as our fantastic Griffin, the menacing-looking Pillar Eater or the acrobatic dancing Salome come to life.

The templates are available in the convent shop or for download at this link.

Programme for special occasions

On special occasions, the convent offers a special programme for children and families, including introductions to the sgrafitto technique and fresco painting with pigments or making dice from local Swiss pine wood in the style of historical bone dice.
