Their personal experiences, interests, and character traits make the community unique. Exploring the tension between individuality and communal life, the exhibition raises the question of how much space for personal expression exists within a religious community.
For the presentation in the refectory, the monastery's communal dining hall, each sister has selected a personal favorite object. These items reflect their inclinations and skills, ranging from religious to secular aspects of daily monastic life. The result is a diverse collection of objects, including personal artworks, family heirlooms, and even small guilty pleasures like sports memorabilia or a Starbucks latte macchiato.
The vernissage took place on Saturday, September 7, 2024.
