Being a guest in the convent

Joy to those arriving here. Peace to those who stay awhile. Bless those who continue on their journey.

In accordance with the monastic tradition of Benedictine hospitality our guesthouse welcomes those who seek to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and enjoy a few days of peace and quiet. There is also our “maiensäss” (a former spring pasture hut) on a pasture above the convent, which looks out over the neighbouring Vinschgau valley (South Tyrol).

In the guest quarters of the convent there are four double rooms and one single room, each with shower/WC, and one room with its own bathroom outside on the corridor. A further three single rooms, all with shower/WC (B1-B3) as well as two single rooms with a common shower/WC (A1 and A2), are situated in the former servants’ quarters beside the farmyard. Exclusively only for women we there are other three single rooms with shower/WC (C1-C3).

Guests also have the use of a common room, where there is a piano. Meals are taken in the 18th century Hermanin room.  Healthy and wholesome food is prepared in our kitchen; the organically grown vegetables and salad served at table come from our garden.

“And first of all let them pray together,…” (Rule of Benedict 53). With this in mind we invite our guests to join in our Liturgy of the Hours. The convent church and Chapel of Grace are open to all visitors for private prayer. The Rosary chapel, our house chapel, also offers the necessary calm and silent atmosphere for those searching for their inner self.

In our Museum and convent Shop  guests are able to take a look within the convent walls and experience 1200 years of convent and structural history.

We offer professionally led fasting and retreat weeks, as well as herbal worskhops and voluntary workers' weeks for the herbal processing. On our event calender you will find all our offers. Our events are held mainly in German language.

Our guesthouse is closed in November.
