Chapel of the Holy Cross

A Carolingian jewel

Archaeological research and restoration of the outside of the chapel were completed in 2011. The wall paintings on the ground floor have been restored. Meanwhile work is currently being carried out on the upper floor to preserve and restore the wall paintings from different periods.

Until the middle of September 2018 the chapel of the Holy Cross remains closed for visitors as the last restoration work will be done. Afterwards the upper floor will again be used as a chapel and the visit through one of our guides will be possible.
