The board of trustees consists of 20 to 30 members. The following organisations have a guaranteed seat on the board: the convent of St. John, the bishopric of Chur, the monastery of Disentis, the Federal Departement of the Interior, the government of the Canton Graubuenden, Muenstertal county, the village of Muestair, the Swiss Association for the Preservation of Local Culture and Heritage, Pro Natura. The board of trustees has delegated the supervision of all current and active business to an executive board. Members of the (pro bono) management are:
  • president, Walter Anderau,
  • treasurer, Clemens Poltera,
  • head of the building commission, Pio Pitsch,
  • public relations, Bruno Lezzi,
  • construction expert, Walter Dietsche,
  • priest-in-charge and administrator of the convent, Father Columban Zueger OSB
  • Elisabeth Oltramare-Schreiber,
  • Pascale Baumgartner.
The preservation specialist for buildings and monuments of the Canton Graubuenden, the canton's official archeologist, and the construction supervisor also participate in meetings of the management team.
