According to its mission statement the aim of the Foundation is to provide the means for a scientific preservation and functional renovation of the convent of St. John as well as to supervise such activities. The financial means are to be collected through donations from public, corporate, or private donors, as well as through bequests and other benefits from third parties. By virtue of the close connection between procuring of monetary means and communication, the Foundation is also in charge of public relations.
